Three shops gutted in Pirojpur

 A devastating fire burnt three shops at Tusskhali Bazaar in Mathbaria upazila of the district early yesterday.  Locals and Abdul Haque, station officer of Mathbaria fire service station, said the fire might have originated from an electric short circuit in a shop at about 3 am and soon engulfed three other adjacent big shops selling fertilizer, electronic items and Thai aluminum.  Fire fighting engines from Mathbaria and Bhandartia upazilas of the district reached the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours of efforts.
