CHITTAGONG: The authority of Chittagong University (CU) yesterday expelled a total of 20 students on different terms for various reasons including harassing female students, being involved in clashes and militancy and assaulting journalists on the campus, reports BSS. CU proctor Mohammad Ali Asgar Chowdhury informed this at a press briefing at his office yesterday noon. "The decision of expulsion was taken following recommendations of the 'Board of Residence, Health and Discipline' of the university", the proctor said adding that the expelled students were found guilty of different offences including harassing female students, assaulting journalists and being involved in clashes at different time. Mentionable that The authorities at Chittagong University on Tuesday expelled three students for their alleged involvement with banned militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
