The executive committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has imposed a cash fine of Taka 30 lakh on Arambagh Krira Sangha at an emergency meeting yesterday with its president Kazi Mohammad Salahuddin the chair.
The meeting unanimously took the decision as Arambagh supporters vandalized the BFF building at Motijheel on December 22 after suffering a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Police AC in the Champions League at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur.
The BFF meeting asked the Arambagh club to pay the fine by January 5 otherwise the club will be suspended for one year.
The disciplinary committee of BFF would recommend action against Arambagh team and its players for assaulting the referee after the match. Even one of the deputy referees was badly injured as some unruly supporters struck him with stones and later he was rushed to take emergency treatment.
