The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education yesterday discussed the matter of merit-based overseas student quota for admission into schools and colleges in the country, reports BSS. The committee came up with the discussion at a meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the capital, an official release said. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Mohammad Hasan Mahmud, Md Salim Uddin Tarafdar, Golam Mostafa, Mohammd Mamunur Rashid and Selina Akter Banu attended the meeting with committee chairmen Md Afsarul Amin in the chair. The committee will make recommendation to this end, the release added.
