Police have arrested six people, including a woman, from different parts of the city and Mithapukur upazila in connection with the murder of local journalist Utsho Rahman, reports UNB. Officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Abdul Qader Zilani said a team of police in separate drives arrested five people from different parts of the city on Sunday night while a woman, Rukhsana Parveen, 30, was arrested from Boiragirganj of Mithapukur upazila on the same day. On December 24, police recovered the body of Utshow Rahman, 30, a staff reporter of local newspaper ‘Juger Alo’ and son of Samsul Huda Mondal of Pirpur, from Tamfata area of the city.
