Elder brother kills younger in Noakhali

An elder brother killed his younger brother at Jerua village under Dumuria union of Senbag upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS. The victim was identified as Abdul Matin Babul, 40, son of Kalimullah of the same village. Officer- in- charge of Senbag Thana Abdur Razzak and victim’s son Saiful Islam said at about 12 noon Babul went to their pond to take bath where his sister- in- law Parveen Akther was present. At one stage Parveen and Babul got into altercation over taking bath.  After hearing the screaming of the younger brother Babul, elder brother Abdul Latif came out with a cricket bat and he hit on Babul’s head.  Babul got dropped in the pond. Listening the hue and cry, relatives and inmates of Babul’s house came, rescued him from the pond and took him to Senbag Upazila Health Complex where on duty doctor declared him dead. Police recovered the body from the health complex and sent it to Abdul Malek Ukil Medical College Hospital for autopsy. A case was filed by victim’s son Md. Saiful Islam accusing Babul and Parveen.
