The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), the regulator and national professional accounting body, has elected Kamrul Abedin as its president for the year -2016 in the capital’s ICAB auditorium, CA bhaban, yesterday, says a press release. Also, Adeeb Hossain Khan, Md Shaifur Rahman Mazumder and Mahmudul Hasan Khusru were elected as vice presidents The new office bearers of ICAB have been elected by the members of the Council –ICAB shortly before holding 43rd annual general meeting chaired by outgoing ICAB president Masih Malik Chowdhury at ICAB auditorium, CA Bhaban in the capital yesterday. Kamrul Abedin FCA is a partner of M J Abedin & Co., Chartered Accountants, which is an independent member firm of Moore Stephens International Limited. After having his Masters in Accounting from the University of Dhaka, he became associate member of ICAB in 1986 and joined the firm as partner. In the year 1992, he became Fellow Member of ICAB.
