Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s son and her ICT affairs advisor, yesterday came down heavily on BNP chief Khaleda Zia for, what he said, her campaign against the 1971 War of Liberation. “I am outraged that during this victory month, Khaled Zia and the BNP are campaigning against our War of Liberation. Khaleda has taken the Pakistani line minimizing the slaughter of our innocent civilians by the brutal Pak Army and their murderous collaborators Jamaat-e-Islami,” Joy posted on his Facebook page early yesterday. Criticising the BNP chief for her latest stance on the Liberation War, Joy urged people to hold demonstrations in front of Khaleda’s resident. Meanwhile, slamming Khaleda for questioning the number of Liberation War martyrs, Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan termed Khaleda Zia the ameer of Bangladeshi Jamaat-e-Islami. He also held Khaleda responsible for Friday’s blast at an Ahmadiyya mosque in Rajshahi.
