Three killed in road accidents

Three persons were killed in separate accidents yesterday. Our Jhenidah correspondent reports: Umme Tayeba Ankhi, 10, a schoolgirl and daughter of Aminur Rahman of Gabla village, was killed and three others were injured as a microbus hit them at Gabla in Shailkupa upazila yesterday morning.  OC of Shailkupa police Tozammel Haque said a speeding microbus hit Ankhi while she along with her classmates was going to school at around 9:00am, leaving her dead on the spot and three others injured. In Pabna, Faruk Hossain, 30, was killed and another injured at Ashutoshpur village in Sadar upazila, reports UNB.  Abdullah Al Hasan, OC of sadar police station, said the accident took place at around 9 am when a man identified as Faruk, riding a motorcycle, died on the spot after hitting a bicycle. The bicyclist was also injured and rushed to Pabna General Hospital. In Habiganj, a motorcyclist was killed as a bus hit his motorbike in Dubau area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Bahubal upazila yesterday morning, reports BSS. The deceased was identified as Karim Miah, 30, of Natunbridge area in Shaestaganj upazila.
