Road link remains suspended in Sirajganj

Movement of all modes of transport from Sirajganj town to Hatikumrul has remained suspended since Thursday night as two trucks fell into a ditch breaking a bailey bridge near Kuthirchar area in Kam­arkhanda  upazila of the district. The accident took place at 11.00pm when the bailey bridge caved in under pressure of two speeding trucks. The drivers and helpers of the trucks were injured and admitted to Sirajganj Sadar hospital. The collapse of the
bridge has disrupted the communication. Locals said the bridge had become dilapidated for lack of maintenance and necessary repair. They urged the authorities concerned of Roads and Highways department to immediately repair the bridge and restore the road communication.
