Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday fined the Central Hospital in Dhanmondhi area of the capital Tk 4 lakh for selling illegal medicine and other irregularities. Talking to The Independent, RAB-2 Commanding officer Lt Col Mohiuddin Ahmed said, getting secret information, a team of RAB led by Deputy Director Dr Didarul Alam, raided the private clinic. The drive started around 12pm and ended at 2pm, said the RAB official adding that we found that the hospital had no trained technologists, there were also huge amount of medicine without label in the operation theater, he said. The hospital authority were also manufacturing and marketing bread and cakes without BSTI approval, alleges Lt Col Mohiuddin.
