A mobile court fined the owners of three fuel oil filling stations Tk 5.75 lakh in city yesterday for weight manipulations. A team of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute (BSTI) and Rab led by Sarwar Alam, executive magistrate of Chittagong district, conducted drives in different areas of the city. The court fined Bandargaon Filling Stations at Alankar circle Tk 3 lakh; Shah Aminullah Filling Station of Khulsi area Tk 2 lakh; and SH Khan Filling station Tk 75, 000 for weight manipulation, said Md Shahfayat Hossain, an officer of BSTI Chittagong.
