Khelaghar children�s cultural festival begins today

A three day cultural programme for the children titled ‘Khela Ghar National Children’s  Cultural Festival 2015’ organised by Kendrio Khela Ghar Asar will begin today at the Music and Dance Centre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), Segun Bagicha in the city and continue till December 26.
Cultural personality Mamunur Rashid will inaugurate the festival where Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will be present as chief guest.
Around 1200 child artistes of Khelaghar from 56 districts will perform music, dance, recitation and others at the three day event, among those, about 600 artistes will compete in the day-long cultural competition featuring rhyme music, patriotic songs, folk songs, Nazrul Sangeet and recitation on the second day.
On the concluding day, the event will feature prize-giving ceremony followed by a cultural show, where  Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali will be present at the prize-giving ceremony as chief guest and Sammilita Sangskritik Jote president Golam Kuddus as special guest.
To disclose the above information, a press conference was held on Tuesday at the Seminar Hall of BSA.  President of presidium member’s committee of Khela Ghar Panna Kaisar, general secretary of the organisation Abu Farah Polash, convener of the festival Mohammad Shahidul Islam Labu, among others, were present at the press conference.
