4 held with 125 gold bars at Shahjalal Airport

Customs Intelligence officials recovered 125 gold bars worth Tk 7 crore and arrested four people, including two women, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport yesterday, reports UNB.
The arrestees were identified as Anwara Begum, 30, Nahida Farzana, 25, Anwar Pervez, 25 and Osman Sohel, 29.
Director General of Customs Inteligence and Investigation Directorate Mainul Khan said a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines ‘BG046’ landed at the Shahjalal Airport from Kuwait via Chittagong around 1 pm.
A team of Customs Inteligence officials arrested two women whoboarded the flight from Chittagong and identified themselves as parlor employees, he added.
