A fortnight-long programme of Islamic Foundation will begin at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque today on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi (SM), reports BSS.
Minister for Religious Affairs Principal Matiur Rahman will formally inaugurate the programme as chief guest at a function at the east plaza of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque after Asar prayers.
Food Minister Advocate Qamrul Islam will attend the function as the main speaker, said an official release yesterday.
During the fortnight-long programme, waz mahfils will be held after Magrib prayers every day.
Seminars will be held on the life and work of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM) from December 25 to 31.
The programme also includes an exhibition of posters and books, a month-long book fair from December 13 to January 12 and Islamic cultural competition.
