The Awami League government with its sincere efforts would add 270 coaches in Bangladesh Railway (BR) fleet for improving train services to make the public transport ease for passengers, reports BSS. Railways Minister Majibul Haque told this to newsmen after visiting BR Kamalapur Workshop today, according to a release. He said more passenger coaches would be added in the coming year through various development projects under dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the release said. The minister said the government took 45 projects to improve public transport, which is also giving better service to commuters across the country, it added. Presently, the BR service has been improved compared to the previous time, the minister said. Railways secretary Feroz Salah Uddin, director general of BR Amjad Hossain, additional director general Khalilur Rahman, private secretary to the ministry AKMG Kibria majumder, general manager (east) Mokbul Hossain and other officials concerned were present during the inspection.
