Woman strangled to death in Mirpur

A woman was strangled to death by miscreants at her flat in the city’s Kafrul area yesterday, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Sabrina Sultana Runa, 40, daughter of late Dr. Nurul Haque of Narhotto in Kahalu upazila of Bogra district.
Runa, who was divorced by her husband, used to live in her father’s apartment in South Ibrahimpur under Kafrul Police Station.
Police said some miscreants stormed into the 5th floor apartment Runa lived in fifth floor on the six-storey building around 8:30pm and strangulated her with an orna (piece of cloth), leaving her critically injured.
