Municipal Polls Candidate sent to jail in Ramgati

 A court in Laxmipur yesterday sent Jatiya Party Ramgati municipality mayoral candidate in a case filed in 2013. Laxmipur Senior Judicial Magistrate Monir Hossain pronounced the verdict against mayoral candidate Azaduddin Chowdhury. The court also jailed Ramgati upazila unit Awami League Organising Secretary Abu Nasar while delivering judgment on the same case.  According to the prosecution, the two were implicated in a case following clash over establishing supremacy in the area in the year 2013. The court rejected their bail and sent them to jail yesterday afternoon when the duo  surrendered to the court.
