Pakistan pull out of SAFF Football

Sports Reporter

Three matches have been reduced from the SAFF Championship following the withdrawal of Pakistan team.
The seven nations tournament, however, will start as per earlier schedule on December 23 and end of January 3.
Pakistan had been drawn in Group-A with India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Pakistan’s three matches against  India, Nepal and Sri Lanka have been cancelled.
Bangladesh, who have already reached Kerela yesterday, have been clubbed with reigning champions Afghanistan, Maldives and Bhutan.
In fact, Pakistan stayed away from participating in any AFC organized in the recent past. They did not travel to Bangladesh to play in AFC Under-16 in Sylhet and AFC Under-21 in Dhaka.
