No case has been filed over Saturday’s clash between rival Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) factions of the Islamic University (IU) unit on the campus that prompted the university syndicate to declare the institution closed.
Police have also not made any arrest over the fighting between rival groups of BCL, the ruling party associate student body, which left at least five people injured.
Police say they could not identify those brandishing firearms and firing bullets at the rival group members during the clash, photos of which were published by various media outlets.
