Body recovered in capital
Police recovered the body of an unidentified man from Gulshan area of the capital yesterday. Gulshan Police said, “A body of a beggar was recovered in front of Delta Building in Gulshan in the capital. The identity of the man was not found immediately.”  “The sixty years old man was found dead on the street at around 11am and send the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy,” added sources. Sub-Inspector Shahanur Islam confirmed the news.

Khulna city BCL council today
KHULNA: The biennial council of Khulna City unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) will be held at Shaheed Hadith Park in the city today. Organising Secretary of Awami League and lawmaker ABM Mozzammel Haque will attend the council as chief guest while central president of BCL Badiuzzaman Sohag will inaugurate. Central general secretary of BCL Siddiqi Nazmul Alam will attend the function as key speaker while Awami League leaders Begum Monnuzan Sufian, SM Kamal Hossain, Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid, Mizanur Rahman Mizan and S M Mostofa Rashidi Suja will attend as special guests. Last council of city unit BCL was held on October 2 in 2010 in the city where Dev Dulal Barai and Sheikh Shahazalal Hossain Sujon has been made president and general secretary respectively.
One held with yaba in Barisal
BARISAL: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a man with yaba tablets from a road of Natun Bazaar area in the city on Saturday night. The arrestee was identified as Hasan Mahmud Polash, 38. On secret information, a team of elite forces raided the area and arrested him with 50 yaba tablets after searching his body at 9 pm, RAB sources said.
30 held from Gazipur hotels
GAZIPUR: Thirty people, including 14 girls, were arrested from different residential hotels in Tongi under Gazipur city on Friday night. The arrested were sent to jail yesterday. Police sources said, a team of Gazipur detective branch (DB) police conducted a raid at Hotel Onamika, Hotel Tongi and hotel Shagotom in Tongi area on Friday night and arrested 14 young girl and 16 men for their illegal and unsocial activities in those hotels.
