Zobaid’s family receives financial assistance

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid yesterday handed over a cheque to the family members of ABM Zobaidul Haque who was killed while discharging his duty as the assistant presiding officer during the national election on January 5 last year. The minister handed over the cheque of Tk 2.52 lakh to Zobaidul’s wife Rashida Begum and his children Tamanna and Riazi at his office in the secretariat. The minister told the family members of Zobaidul that it was an irreparable loss which could not be fulfilled by financial assistance.  He also assured that family members that the government will stay beside them. Zobaidul was killed in a bullet fire by the terrorists when he was discharging his duty at the polling centre Chepripura Government Primary School in Thakurgaon.
