Boy stabbed in clash over polls campaign

Supporters of Awami League nominated mayoral candidate allegedly stabbed a supporter of Jatiya Party contestant at Paratungi in Muktagachha municipality on Wednesday night. The victim identified as Kala Chand, 14, of Paratungi area is a JSC examinee of RK High School in Muktagachha. Local sources said three supporters of AL candidate Abdul Hye Akanda came in a motorbike and stabbed Kala Chand in his abdomen at around 10.30 pm and attempted to flee the scene.  Hearing the scram, local people chased the gang and caught Shiblu and Mobarak, said Abu Mohammad Fazlul Karim, OC of Muktagacha police. Later they were handed over to police.
Seriously injured Kala Chand has been admitted at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
