Alibaba Kunming Industrial Zone launched

The Alibaba Kunming Industrial Zone E-Commerce Platform Project Cooperation Agreement was recently signed in Kunming between the Kunming Municipal Government and Alibaba Group. On the day of the conclusion of the Agreement, the Alibaba Kunming Industrial Zone, which is going to cover all commodities in Yunnan, was launched.
Unlike Tmall.com and Taobao.com, the Alibaba Industrial Zone is a sub-site focusing on B2B business in the advantageous and featured industries of different regions. Kunming and Alibaba have deepened cooperation following the establishment of the Kunming station of 1688 Sourcing Platform for Imports, and the conclusion of this Agreement means that Kunming has officially become a strategic partner of Alibaba in the field of local featured industries.
The Alibaba Kunming Industrial Zone is jointly built by Alibaba and third-party operator Kunming Fanya Huanyu E-Commerce Company, as a virtual city integrating online and offline business. It will gather superior local goods in Kunming and Yunnan and connect online and offline businesses. With Alibaba providing the platform and information and the local third-party operator providing logistics and warehousing services, traditional real economy and e-commerce will be integrated to form an industrial cluster featuring the characteristics of Kunming, and bringing local products to the entire country through the Alibaba platform.
