The Kunming High-tech District Bonded Logistics Centre, the first of its kind in Yunnan Province, was jointly approved by the General Administration of Customs, the Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Taxation and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange the other day. It means foreign trade enterprises in Yunnan can enjoy bonded services without going abroad.
The Kunming High-tech District Bonded Logistics Centre, covering an area of 0.028 square kilometres, is the core part of the China-ASEAN Bonded Trade Industrial Park. Integrating basic functions such as import, export, carry-over and transit trade, it not only meets emerging trade warehousing and logistics needs such as bonded commodity display and cross-border e-commerce, but also provides bonded warehousing service for fruits, vegetables, wood and other products from Southeast Asia and South Asia. It is of great significance toYunnan’s integration into the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Kunming High-tech District Bonded Logistics Centre started construction in July 2012 and involved a total investment of 1.08 billion yuan. It has been completed and will be put into use soon.
