A young man died in an explosion while he was making bombs at Hamidpur under Kotwali police station early yesterday. The deceased was Firoj Hossain, 30, of Hamidpur village under Jessore sadar upazila. Confirming the incident, Shikder Akkas Ali, officer in-charge of Kotwali police station said the youth was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital in a critical condition after the explosion. ‘The bomb exploded suddenly while he was making it after midnight’, he added. Police picked up one Rabiul Islam, 22 of Bagharpara from Khajura bus stand area in the town in connection with the explosion, the OC said. Abdullah –al- Mamun, medical officer of Jessore Medical College Hospital, said the victim died on the way to the hospital for excessive bleeding.
