Turongomi Repertory stages �Waterness� at BSA today

Turongomi Repertory Dance Theatre will stage the 4th show of its audience-admired dance-theatre production Waterness, the first ever dance theatre in Bangladesh, today at 7pm at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), Segun Bagicha in the city.
Inspired by the life of Rabindranath Tagore and dedicated to Kadombori Devi, the production aims to find resemblance between woman and water.
The theatre production is written by Dhiman Bhattacharya from India, while eminent Bangladeshi dance artiste Pooja Sengupta is in the direction besides coming up with its main concept, design and dance direction.
Dance theatre is a different art form and hence it is requested not to confuse it with Dance Drama. Dance Theatre is a distinctive genre of dance which aims to break down the barriers between dance, theatre, mime, and most of all, to communicate ideas and feelings without any pretensions. One of its most effective tools is honesty and openness. The production is bilingual, i.e. in Bengali and English, with duration of 45 minutes.
Pooja Sengupta informed that, Turongomi with the fourth stage show of the dance-drama, is going to fulfil their promise that the production will be staged four times in a year.
