Chuadanga: A betel leaf trader was hacked to death by some miscreants at Akundabaria village in Sadar upazila
on Thursday midnight, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Jakaria Mandal, 38, son of late Fazlu Fakir of the village.
Quoting witnesses, police said a group of miscreants picked up Jakaria while he was going to a folk musical event at the village around 12 pm.
Later th.e hooligans took him to a field and stabbed him there indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
The miscreants also exploded a bomb while fleeing the
scene. Saiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the reason behind the killing could not be known immediately.
