Japanese team meets DU VC

A four-member delegation, led by Akira Harata, Dean of the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences of Kyushu University, Japan called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter's office of the university on Thursday.
Other members of the delegation were Bidyut Baran Saha, Tanimoto Jun and Masafumi Nagaishi of the same university.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of DU Md Rafiqul Islam, Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Dr Subrata Kumar Aditya and Deputy Programme Officer of JICA Kaniz Fatema were present on this occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of establishing "Bangladesh-Japan International Institute of Technology (BJIIT)" at Dhaka University with the financial assistance from JICA.
