Int�l Mechanical Engineering Confce begins at RUET

RAJSHAHI: A three-day international conference on Mechanical Industrial and Materials Engineering (ICMIME) - 2015 began at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) yesterday, reports BSS.
Mechanical Engineering Faculty of RUET organised the conference for the second time with the main thrust of promoting information of research and development on related topics and interchange updated scientific information among the researchers, developers, engineers, students and practitioners working worldwide.
Professor MNA Hawlader from International Islamic University in Malaysia attended and addressed the inaugural session as chief guest while Prof Rafiqul Alam Beg, Vice-chancellor of RUET, spoke as Chief Patron with Rafiqul Islam, Convener of the organising committee, in the chair.
Dean of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Nirendra Nath Mustafi and Professor Mahbub Alam from Harbin Institute of Technology in China spoke as special guests.
In his remarks, VC Prof Beg said the conference will bring great opportunities for both researchers and industrial communities from home and abroad to share their knowledge and experiences.
It will also promote intellectual and practical development in the field of mechanical, industrial and materials engineering.He added that the event will provide a platform to bring together academician, researchers, industrialists, practitioners and other related experts to share knowledge and experiences.
Organizsing committee Convener Rafiqul Islam told the session that the conference will offer technical activities, including research and technical sessions, poster sessions, exhibitions, an industry track and a developers track.
Hundreds of researchers, developers, engineers, students and practitioners from more than fifteen foreign countries including the host Bangladesh are participating in the conference.
