47 arrested in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: Police in an overnight drive arrested 47 people and seized 462 litres of liquor and 2,700 yaba tablets from different upazilas of the district on Thursday night on various charges.
Kazi Abdul Awal, additional superintendent of police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district police, said police in special drives from Thursday night to Friday morning, arrested 47 people from different parts of the upazilas of the district.’
Of them, 10 people were warranted accused in different cases and 37 others are accused in regular cases.
In the drive 2,200 yaba tablets were seized from Lohagara upazila and 450 were seized from Chandanish upazila while 450 litres of liquor seized from Anwara upazila and 12 litres of liquor seized from Satkania upazila.
