In line with Narendra Modi’s strict vegetarian diet, the state dinner hosted by Sheikh Hasina had a menu that was an all vegetarian affair. For starters, there was a Gujarati speciality, Kaman Dhokla, along with a yoghurt coriander chutney, reports NDTV. For main course, there were north Indian favourites like Paneer Butter Masala, Vegetable Shammi Kebabs and Dal Tadka. The menu also served Bengali specialities like 'Potol Dolma' and Khichri (the Bengali version tempered with mustard seeds and ghee). For dessert, there was a sampler of Rasgullas, Mishti Doi and fruits. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also joined the dinner at Hasina’s request.
