Toma�s Rabindra Sangeet evening at IGCC today

Indira Gandhi Culture Centre (IGCC) is organising an evening of Rabindra Sangeet with Tanjina Toma at the Gulshan premises of IGCC today at 6pm.
Tanjina Toma is one of the popular Tagore singers of Bangladesh today, lauded by the young generation, and the senior citizens alike. She was trained in Chayanaut, the foremost and most coveted music institutions of Bangladesh. Her gurus included such exponents as late Wahidul Haque and Dr Sanjida Khatun. As a successful student of Chayanaut, she received the opportunity to teach there as a faculty member. Toma is a senior grade artiste of Bangladesh National Radio (Bangladesh Betar) and Bangladesh Television. Besides, she performs regularly in live programmes in several private TV channels of Bangladesh and India.
Tomas first album was released in 2011 under the title Modhu Jamini from Bangladesh, and the second one Jibon Kotha was released by Cozmic Harmony, Kolkata in May 2013. Her third album was released from G Series Dhaka titled Khuje Berai in May 2014 featuring songs and recitation from various plays of Tagore. Most recently, she released two albums from SAREGAA (former HMV) titled Tumi o Ami and UD Series released her latest album titled on the occasion of Durga Puja Tomar Shonge She is an active member of Bangladesh Rabindrasangeet Shammilam Parishad and Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Shilpi Shangstha.
