Criminals burn AL candidate�s election campaign office

Criminals burnt down the makeshift election campaign office of an Awami League-nominated candidate, set up in front of Bogra Government Azizul Haque College, early yesterday.
Md Rasedul Alam Shaon, councillor candidate for ward-2, has submitted a complaint to Bogra sadar police station in this connection.  He alleged that activists of BNP-nominated candidate Towhidul Islam Bitu might have burnt his election campaign office.
 Md Towhidul Islam Bitu, BNP nominated candidate for the ward, denied the allegation saying Shaon is conspiring against him sensing his defeat in the coming Municipality polls.
 Md Abul Bashar, Officer-in-charge of Sadar police station, said Md Rasedul Alam Shaon has submitted a written complaint in connection with the incident.
He said additional police have been deployed around the spot in Fulbari area to prevent recurrence of such incident.
