ACC to hold public hearings on govt services

Chairman of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) M Badiuzzaman yesterday said the commission will hold public hearings on all service-oriented government offices to check irregularities and corruption there, reports UNB.  
“We’re now holding public hearings on services provided by assistant commissioners and sub-registrars’ offices. This doesn’t mean there’s no graft in other government offices,” he told the inaugural session of a public hearing in the capital.
 The national anti-graft body organised the public hearing at Osmani Memorial Auditorium on services provided by assistant commissioners and sub-registrars’ offices under Tejgaon, Gulshan, Kotwali and Sutrapur police stations.
