BNP backed councilor aspirant hurt

Habiganj: A BNP-backed councilor aspirant of ward-2 of  Nabiganj municipality in Habigbaj district was hacked by some  criminals at Natun Bazar in Nabiganj upazila on Tuesday night, reports UNB
The injured was identified as M Su ndar Ali, general secretary of  Krishak Dal of Nabiganj municipality unit.
Officer-in-charge of Nabiganj police station Abdul Baten said a group  of criminals swooped on Sundar Ali and stabbed him indiscriminately  at Natun Bazar around 8 pm, leaving him injured on the spot.
After hearing his screams, locals rescued him and sent him to Nabiganj Upazila Health Complex, the OC added. Later, he was shifted to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
