Spanish man arrested with cocaine

A Spanish national was held by the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Tuesday evening along with three kilogram contraband cocaine concealed in his luggage.
He was identified as Julian Chise Pejo, 52, who came to Dhaka from Dubai by an Emirates flight. Earlier, he arrived in Dubai from Brazil.
The Emirates flight arrived at Dhaka airport around 6pm, DNC Director said Nazmul Ahsan Majumder.
Tipped off by a USA agency, a team of the DNC led by Director (operation) Syed Tawfiq Uddin Ahmed conducted a raid at the airport and found cocaine concealed in Pejo’s specially made luggage.
