Man succumbs to clash injuries in Magura

A man who was injured in a clash between two rival groups at Srirampur village in Sadar upazila died at Magura Sadar Hospital early yesterday, reports UNB from Magura. The deceased was identified as Abdus Kuddus Molla, 50, a resident of the area. Quoting locals, police said there had been a longst anding conflict between Arju Molla and Taleb over establishing supremacy at the village. On Friday morning, both Arju Molla and Taleb locked in an altercation over the issue. At one stage, supporters of the rival parties, equipped with lethal weapons, attacked each other, leaving 10 people, including Kuddus, injured. Of them , seriously injured three persons were rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital for treatment. Later, Kuddus  succumbed to his injuries at about 4 am yesterday. Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Munsi Asaduzzaman, confirmed the incident. A case was filed in this connection yesterday, the OC said.
