Labaid Hospital fined Tk 10 lakh

A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday fined Dhanmondi’s Labaid Hospital Tk 10 lakh for keeping unauthoried medicines. RAB Executive Magistrate Firoz Alam said a ‘huge amount’ of 26 types of unauthorised medicines were found during the search that lasted around four hours. The mobile court also fined Tk 5 lakh to an assistant of a specialist doctor of the hospital, for keeping expired medicines, the magistrate added. Firoz Alam said they have already realised the money and seized the medicines.
