The High Court (HC) yesterday fixed December 9 for passing its order on a revision petition filed by Selina Hossain Beauty, wife of slain councillor Nazrul Islam, seeking its directive for further investigation into the seven-murder case in Narayanganj.
The HC bench, comprising justices M Enayetur Rahim and Md Amir Hossain, fixed the date after a hearing on the petition.
During the hearing the HC bench said although the charge-sheet mentioned a criminal conspiracy of killing, it did not go into details.
Earlier, on December 1, the same bench of the HC had observed that there were serious lapses in the charges-heet in the Narayanganj seven-murder case.
“After scrutinising the charge-sheet and the circumstances under which the seven murders were committed in Narayanganj, it appeared to me that there were serious blunders in the chargesheet,” said Justice M Enayetur Rahim during the hearing.
