Language veteran Tofazzal Hossain passes away

Ekushey Padak winner language veteran and journalist Tofazzal Hossain died of old age complications at his Shyamoli residence on Saturday noon. He was 80, reports BSS. Tofazzal, an associate member of National Press Club, is the father of Tariq Sujat, director of daily Bhorer Kagoj and Desh TV and general secretary of Jatiya Kabita Parishad. He left behind three sons, one daughter, and host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death. National Press Club president Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and general secretary Quamrul Islam Chowdhury have expressed deep shock at the death of Tofazzal. In a condolence message they prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
