Admission tests begin

RANGPUR: The four-day admission tests for the first year honours courses of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) for the 2015-16 academic sessions began from yesterday, reports BSS. Vice-chancellor of BRUR AKM Nurun Nabi visited the examination halls on the campus. On the first day, admission tests for A unit were held at 10 am in the first shift, 12 noon in the second shift and 2 pm in the third shift in the academic building of the varsity campus. This year, a total of 11,873 students have registered them for 195 seats in three departments under the Faculty of Arts in A unit while 13,994 students for 345 seats in six departments under the Faculty of Social Science in B unit.
The admission tests for B unit will be held at 10 am in the first shift, 12 noon in the second shift and 2 pm in the third shift today at the same venue. The admission tests for C unit will be held at 10 am in the first shift and 12 noon in the second shift while admission tests for Unit- F will be held at 2 pm on December 8. Besides, the admission tests for D unit will be held at 10 am in the first shift and 12 noon in the second shift while the admission tests for E unit will be held at 2 pm in the first shift and 4 pm in the second shift on December 10 to end the process. The admission test results will be published on December 18, varsity officials said. According to the varsity officials, a total of 54,292 students have registered them for taking part in admission tests for 1,200 seats in 21 departments under six faculties in the university.
