The authorities of Islamic University suspended four university students on Sunday. Among them three for fraudulence to the first year honors courses under 2015-16 academic session and one for assaulting an official, campus sources said. The decision was taken from university security committee in a meeting presided over by university Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Hakim Sarker. The suspended students were identified as Sazzad Ahmed of Bangla department, Ripon Ali of Mathematics department, Shahjahan Kabir Shohel of English department and Shariful Islam of Bangla department of the university. University proctor office sources said that Shariful Islam suspended for one academic session following his confess about the admission test forgery, Sazzad and Ripon for temporary suspended of their alleged involvement of question leakage and Sohel for assaulting an university official. IU proctorial bodies asked the investigation committee as to why these students won’t be suspended permanently from the university and submit the investigation report within seven working days.
