In a bowlers dominated match, Junaid Siddique’s unbeaten 34 off 37 was stand out. The bowlers enjoyed a good day in Sher-e-Bangla Stadium wicket under the overcast condition, embarrassing the batsmen with seam movement and swing which caused Barisal Bulls massive fall. A team, boasted with T20’s most destructive batsman Chris Gayle and some other effective batsmen, was shot out for tournament lowest 59. Barisal’s downhill spiral indicated how difficult the pitch was. Needing just 60 to win, Sylhet Super Stars was also not in a comfortable position with Mohammad Sami taking out Dilshan Munaweera for naught in the first over to send a message that chasing wouldn’t be an easy walk. Junaid showed the guts and stood tall in a moment when it mattered most. His serenity in the tricky wicket made the chase easy indeed what hardly could anyone anticipate.
