Afridi bears luck in his first game as captain

Barisal Bulls, the most consistent team in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), received the most embarrassing treatment when they were shot out for tournament lowest 59 to concede a humiliating nine-wicket defeat to Sylhet Super Stars yesterday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The struggling Super Stars stayed alive in the competition with this terrific turnaround, something which was difficult to fathom given the performance of the both teams in the tournament. It seemed the luck shifted to Sylhet with the change of the captaincy as Shahid Afridi led the side, replacing Mushfiqur Rahim.
However the excitement was understandably high given the T20’s two super stars was locked horn in the same match. He got rid of Sabbir Rahman Rumman, Sekugge Prasanna and Mehedi Maruf in his one over to shatter Barisal hope of making at least a moderate score. That only two batsmen – Mohammad Sami (16) and Evin Lewis (12) could reach double digit figure would tell the tale of huge embarrassment of Bulls.
