Bus helper remanded for harassing DU student

A court here yesterday placed a bus helper on a three-day remand in a case filed for sexually harassing a female student of Dhaka University, reports UNB. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate SM Masud Zaman passed the order when police produced bus helper Sumon before the court seeking a 7-day remand. Earlier, the student of Dhaka University was sexually abused by the transport worker in a Dhaka-bound bus from Manikganj on Friday. Later, a case was filed with Darus Salam Police Station. Police arrested Sumon on Friday night.
