Environment and Forests Minister Anwar Hossain Manju, now in Paris, yesterday had meetings with two separate delegations comprising four Senators from the US, and discussed how Bangladesh can better address climate challenges, reports UNB. Issues related to climate vulnerability of Bangladesh and developing resilience of citizens who are likely to be affected by the adversities of climate change came up for discussions, according to a message received here. The US Senators who attended the meeting were Jeff Merkley (D-Oregon), Tom Udall (D-New Mexico), Al Franken (D-Minnesota), and Cory Booker (D-New Jersey). Later, the Minister had a meeting with UK Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Climate Change Lord Bourne of Aberystwyth and discussed climate issues.
