Chuadanga: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized smuggled Indian cloths worth TK 5.5 crore near a petrol pump in Magura district town early yesterday, reports UNB. On secret information, a team of BGB-6 conducted a drive in a Dhaka-bound covered van from Benapole on Magura-Dhaka road early in the morning, said Major Anwar Jahid, additional director of BGB-6.Sensing the presence of the border force, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving behind the covered van. Later, they recovered 84 pieces of Sarees, 270 three-piece sets, 90 suit pieces, 6194 metres of cloths for pants and 49,611 metres other clothes.
