AL leader�s throat-slit body found
Police recovered throat-slit body of a local Awami League leader from a garden at Demra in the city yesterday morning. The deceased was identified as Enamel Haque Gias, 45, general secretary of West Sanarpar ward unit AL. Talking to The Independent, Sub Inspector Quddus Ali of Demra Police Station confirmed the incident saying local people spotted the body lying in the garden and informed police at about 11am. Local people suspect Gias might have been killed at some time on Friday night.
