Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Paschimbanga Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Hotel Sonargaon here yesterday, reports UNB.
The meeting started around 3.15 pm at the hotel and ended at 3.34 pm, and then they set out for the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
As journalists approached while they were emerging from the meeting, both Modi and Mamata made a turnaround and just said ‘hello’ but did not make any comment.
Earlier in the morning, Modi arrived here on a two-day visit to the neighbouring country.
Mamata Banerjee arrived here earlier on Friday night mainly to witness the exchange of documents on Land Boundary Agreement (LBA) ratification between Bangladesh and India.
Speculations were there that Teesta Water sharing agreement was on the agenda of the meeting.
